The parlor floor of a Harlem brownstone was the place for community engagement, cultural conversation, and where "cool" would be later defined then shared with the world. It's where Black folks congregated to discuss, argue, eat, dance, and enjoy life during a time when life presented people of color many challenges. Today, the parlor floor of the MUSE townhouse is used to welcome, educate, and provide people access to fragrance, art, and culture. We welcome creative designer, perfumer, and entrepreneur, Nick Steward of Gallivant Fragrances to Harlem for an intimate Conversation and Q&A. Nick "has two decades of hands-on experience in perfume making in London and Paris. From creating for big global brands, he went on to become Product & Creative Director of the pioneering cult house L’Artisan Parfumeur. Bored by the posturing of many brands, he devised GALLIVANT to get back to basics. His collection of unisex, gender-neutral eau de parfum brings a thoughtful, honest and unfussy approach to perfumery." Please join us for this unique experience.
