Join us for lively, improvisational flamenco in the Covarrubias Adobe of Santa Barbara Historical Museum as part of our music education program. Seats for this casual event (with vino!) are very limited. Singer and dancer Manuel Gutierrez has enjoyed a prolific career, headlining flamenco festivals in Spain, Albuquerque, Los Angeles and throughout the world. Guitarist Alex Jordan has toured throughout Latin America with well-known musicians including Marc Anthony, Alejandro Sanz and Ivan Vargas to name a few. For questions contact: [email protected]. She has exposed audiences across the world to the unique style and sound of Jerez de la Frontera, Spain — recognized as the birthplace of Flamenco. Her critically acclaimed performances have graced venues such as the Hollywood Bowl, Lope de Vega in Sevilla, Lincoln Center in New York, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles where she will present her company 'Sonidos Gitanos' this fall.
