Description

Join us for a fun Saturday in the heritage boat shop. ZERO previous tool/woodworking experience is required. The class will begin with a 45 minute orientation to the power tools and skills required to build your planters. After orientation, you will dive in to the fabrication of your project, guided by the instructor at each step. You will finish up by personalizing and embellishing your creations, and adding your plants! Each participant will get one large succulent, and two small succulents from ReRooted as part of the class fee. This workshop is brought to you by Aaron Goodge of Toolbox Laboratories. Aaron has been a carpenter and woodworker for over 20 years. Designing and engineering creative hands on activities that incorporate STEAM, woodworking and craft are a passion of his. He loves offering equitable and accessible opportunities for learning and creativity to the community members of all ages. We're excited to bring these activities to the public at the Foss Waterway Seaport! Stay tuned for more classes on the last Saturday of every month in the Foss Waterway Seaport Heritage Boat Shop.
