The Great Expectations Music Program aims to provide free music instruction and mentorship primarily for (but not limited to) youth who experience poverty and academic challenges in Lorain and surrounding Lorain County. GEMS is in its seventh year of operation and has serviced over 100 children in the community. Together with skilled and trained instructors from Lorain County, provide piano instruction, drum instruction, vocal instruction, mentorship, and opportunities for cultural enrichment to the program participants. We recognize that this program will not reach its maximum effectiveness without the support of our entire community. We are hosting our 2nd Annual Musical Gala featuring our students at Lorain County Community College Center Commons on June 4th, 2023, from 3 PM - 6:00 PM. Our Theme is: "I AM A GEM." The ticket price is $50.00. The proceeds will cover the cost of the event and further our GEMS program.
