Urban Improvement Corps is a tutoring and mentoring program that serves elementary, middle, and high school students in the New Haven area. Our mission is to spark personal and intellectual growth amongst New Haven youth. Through tutoring and mentorship, the program seeks to assist students in achieving academic success and to inspire them to succeed beyond the classroom. This year we are celebrating 55 years of UIC mentorship. Our UIC 55 event focuses on highlighting the contributions of past and present UIC members, the history of the organization, and our goals for the future.
