California Duck Days is a family oriented, community-based outdoor festival with activities for people of all ages brought to you by the CA Department of Fish and Wildlife and Yolo Basin Foundation. On-site activities for families include interactive exhibits, wetland themed arts and crafts, scooping up and learning about the insects in our ponds, owl pellet dissection, and much more. Live wildlife ambassadors include fish, bats, and ducklings.
The main event will be held on Saturday, April 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area Headquarters, 45211 County Road 32B, in Davis. Volunteers play a key role in preparing for and facilitating the event. We hope you will join us in volunteering at the festival this year! Volunteer roles may include booth set-up assistant, registration, parking attendant, greeter, clean up, and more. There are three volunteer shifts: 8:00am - 11:00am, 11:00am - 2:00pm, and 2:00pm - 5:00pm.
