Are you or do you have student (K-12) in Muncie, Delaware County, IN? If so, you are invited to participate in Representation Matters: Phase II-I AM Project, a “future story” photoshoot where youth will have the chance to dress as “who they want to be when they grow up”. The Juneteenth Representation Matters committee will assist with uniforms and professional dress-up options, if needed. In addition to the photo shoot, all participating youth will complete the I AM pledge that will be signed and presented to the youth during the Juneteenth Muncie Representation Matters Expo on Saturday, June 3rd. This Eventbrite registration is for students who did not participated in the I AM Project in 2022 and are interested in participating this year. (Family, friends and other students will register for the Exposition using a separate link) All participating youth must be registered (no walk-ins allowed)Parents/Guardians must sign the photo releasePhotoshoot dates and times will be scheduled a minimum of 1 week in advance (early May)All photos will be framed Photos will be unveiled during the Juneteenth Representation Matters Exposition, on Saturday, June 3rd, at Ball State University, Student Center Cardinal Hall ABC (Career Expo). (All youth, their families and sponsors will be invited to attend) Additionally, a select number of framed photos will be on display at the Representation Matters booth during Juneteenth Muncie Celebration on Saturday, June 17th and can be picked up by participants after 6 p.m. Students who participate in the I AM Project will be invited to participate in the Juneteenth Muncie essay contest, What Juneteenth Means To Me. Details will be provided during the end of the photo session. Space is limited, register today! *****Representation Matters is presented in four phases. Phase I: The Me That I See!, Phase II: I AM Project!, Phase III: The Exposition & Phase IV: The 3C's. Each phase requires registration.
