We are delighted to bring students, family members, community leaders, and mental health advocates to Directing Change Screening and Recognition Ceremony. Directing Change is a statewide effort that addresses the important topics of suicide prevention, reduction of stigma and discrimination associated with mental illness, and promotion of student mental wellness. Stay for the whole program! Be respectful during all films. Watch quietly, just as you want others to watch your film.Applaud at appropriate times. Refrain from negative responses like booing. Directions for Award Winners (Advisors & Students):Congratulations! When your name/group is called, make your way safely to the stage. Directions will be given by the MC for entering and exiting the stage. Your group will have about 30 seconds to address the audience (give thank you’s, etc.). You could consider answering one of these questions: What inspired you to make this video? What is one thing you want everyone to know about your video? What is something you learned by making this video? After your remarks, music will be played and stage attendants will usher you backstage for a photo.
