He could always beatbox, but never dreamed of being a rapper as a child. In his formative years he found himself temporarily behind bars and subsequently confined to house arrest via an ankle bracelet monitor. For Jrod, rapping was born out of a necessity to escape the confinement, sobriety and loneliness that consumed a once college aspiring basketball player. Luckily for the ears and minds of the world he used his time to write and teach himself to engineer music using rudimentary tools. These were the same tools that were the building blocks for the musicians who idolized. When the ankle bracelet came off, Jrod The Problem had completed and released his first full album. Needless to say that those lucky enough to still possess a copy of that album should quickly insure it and lock it in a fire-proof safe! Jrod The Problem is arguably the most talented American Underground Rapper of his generation. This is evidenced by his popularity among musicians with large, long-standing fan bases.
