Claflin University and Save the Children have united to address kindergarten readiness for all children across all areas of Orangeburg County and will be cohosting a summit on Thursday, April 27th from 2-6 pm at the Orangeburg County Library’s Multipurpose Room. Among the goals is to strategize about the best methods to help to reverse the downward spiral of the children's lack of preparedness for entrance into kindergarten. This event will also address potential strategies for the community to employ to enhance kindergarteners' readiness to learn and to be successful later in their lives, whether academically, socially, emotionally, or career trajectories.
