Join us for a fun and educational bike ride event to learn more about Covina's Active Streets & MultiModal Connectivity Plan! This plan aims to create a more sustainable and efficient transportation system by improving active transportation networks, transit connections, and transit-oriented development. By supporting this plan, we can create a more connected, accessible, and environmentally friendly City of Covina in the SGV. Pre-registration and attendance confirmation is required for all participants. If you are attending with other family members, each person must be registered separately in order to attend. E-bikes of all types are encouraged, but not required or you can also register to ride a GoSGV e-bike FREE. Register now to guarantee your spot! *Please note: ID is required to use a reserved e-bike. Getting There --->Public Transit: Metro, Foothill Transit Parking: The Metrolink Parking structure is free on weekends from 4 am to midnight. Experience Level: Beginner/Intermediate What to Bring: A functional bicycle or wheeled device (highly recommended with gears)A helmet is required to ride a GoSGV e-bike and if under the age of 18 Water Bottle (with water) TAP card or money for fare if you plan to use the Metro bus or trainBikes with training wheels are not permitted, but children are welcome to attend if pulled in a trailer or on-bike child seat *** PLEASE NOTE: All ride participants must sign this waiver to participate. A parent or legal guardian is required to sign for and accompany any minors under 18 participating in the ride. *** **RAIN POLICY: In the event of a rain forecast, we will contact you 24 hours in advance to confirm or cancel the ride. In the event of inclement weather, we will provide alternative indoor activities to promote the Active Streets & Multi Modal Connectivity Plan.** Safety Protocols We will be observing strict protocols during the ride to ensure safety and comfort for all participants and instructors. The entire ride will be conducted outdoors to maximize physical distancing. Please keep in mind the following rules while attending the ride: You must confirm your attendance in advance of the ride so we know to expect you and hold your spot. Every attendee must sign-in and complete a waiver. If you are feeling sick or unwell, please stay home. Staff and ride marshals reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not follow these protocols (e.g., arrives without prior registration, does not complete waiver,etc.). GO SGV E-Bike Reservations: We are offering 12 Go SGV e-bike Commuter bike reservations for this ride! E-bikes are a great option for those who want to participate in the ride, but need a little extra assistance or would like to try an e-bike in a group setting. To reserve an e-bike, please select the "E-Bike Reservation" ticket option during registration. Please note that e-bikes are limited and will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
