Description

The PEF Innovation Hub, in partnership with Hamilton County Schools, is celebrating ten years of STEM Teaching Fellows! On May 11, 2023, STEM Fellows, HCS administrators, and community and business leaders will join together to enjoy hors d'oeuvres and learn about the inspiring work being done in our public schools as a result of this fellowship. STEM Teaching Fellows is an annual cohort of Southeast Tennessee educators from across the region who engage in a year of professional development activities focused on STEM best practices and workforce development. These teachers grow as leaders for their schools and districts, developing innovative instructional strategies and building community partnerships as resources for their students and colleagues.  Over the course of the year, members of the cohort receive training and coaching on best practices in problem-based learning, inquiry-based instruction, cross-curriculum integration, and technology integration.  Working with leaders from business and post-secondary education, the Fellows develop STEM lessons and projects for immediate implementation in the classroom.
