Join us at this Cumberland Land Trust property for a 2-hour exploration. The preserve has a variety of habitats: woods, field with brushy margins, power line. We expect to find a variety of warblers, vireos, sparrows, flycatchers, and orioles and, we hope, some surprises.
Conditions: The trails are somewhat rocky, with a small climb up the power line, but nothing very strenuous. Heavy rain cancels walk.
Directions: High Rock Farm is located on Scott Road in Cumberland. From I-295 exit 20 (Rt. 122) go south a short distance, just past Rt. 116, and turn left on Scott Rd. Look for the Cumberland Land Trust Outdoor Environmental Education Center (OEEC), which is adjacent to High Rock Farm. The OEEC is at the overhead crossing power lines, approximately 1/4 mile North of (past) the I-295 overpass on Scott Rd. There is a parking area for several cars at the OEEC. There is also parking along the west side of the road.
