These sessions provide business leaders with the opportunity for networking and ongoing learning on topics that are vital to their organization. Forrest Derr, President of AltaworxForrest graduated from University of Mobile in 1998 while he was working at Office Equipment Company (OEC). After starting in the warehouse with shipping and receiving office furniture and supplies, he was able to quickly improve the organization and processes. This brief period in operations led him to be moved into the IT department, and he rose to IT Manager after the first year. During his 18 years at OEC, he had several roles and landed as VP of Operations for the last 8 years where he oversaw warehousing and distribution along with technology and automation. In 2015, Forrest left OEC to take a position at Altaworx, a smaller technology company that provides more hands-on experience in other business areas such as data center management, finance, and marketing. Currently, he serves as President of Altaworx where he has the role of EOS Integrator to manage and execute the vision for the team. With only two employers, Forrest has enjoyed the opportunity to work in almost every segment of an organization to see firsthand how to develop processes and manage expectations along with results. He now takes pride in using his business acumen and EOS training to help other companies with their organization and technology-based decisions.
