Description

DESCRIPTIONJournaling & Movement: Introduction to autonomy provides those attending the chance to explore their bodies and minds in a way that promotes healing through the learning of self-regulatory tools. Attendees will learn simple ways to help them process emotions by using beginner breathwork, somatic movements, and journaling. You will learn how both somatics and journaling work together to guide you to a place of balance within the parasympathetic nervous system. SYSTEM:Somatics and Breathwork: allow us to feel deeper into bodily sensations and conscious perceptions through mindful movement and a powerful breathwork technique, along with minimal lympahtic activation technique as we scan our bodies. We'll pay more attention to our inner compass instead of relying on repitition. It's intended to help you engage with the emotional, physical, and cognitive processes through education to better understand the way certain regions of the body operate for optimal functioning. We dive into the anatomy of your gut and brain in a way that is easily understood. Journaling: is one of my favorite autonomy tools to use because it allows us to enter a reflective state of either conscious or subconscious 'fluff' that can be used to identify certain behavioral/thought patterns and the symptoms of those that we maybe, aren't otherwise aware of prior to the use of the modalities listed above. You'll learn the connection that effective journaling has to the nervous system. This journaling portion is special because you'll receive an original journaling prompt written by me to work on during the class. Journals*** If you have a journal and utensil that you prefer to write in, please bring it. As I will have a few extra journals should someone forget there's or couldn't get one. I will supply writing utensils. ***PHOTOS OF NEW LOCATION BELOW: this location has a kitchen, seating area, and two bathrooms. One of which has a shower included. RECOMMENDATIONS:THIS WORKSHOP IS RECOMMENDED FOR: Those who may experience fatigue, inhibition of bodily awareness, congestion, tension, depression, anger, and anxiety, trouble expressing themselves or communicating, those who want to improve immunity/clear toxins, and experience clarity by giving the brain a boost. ***During this workshop you may feel changes to your bodily sensations, conscious perceptions, and even experience subtle to intense, positive changes in your digestive system.***TIPS FOR CLASS: Please do not come on a full stomach of food. However, it's imperative that you do eat something at least 1-2 hours before, or a light snack 30 minutes before if needed. ***You will need to bring your own yoga mat and a blanket if you'd like to sit on something during the journaling/somatic portion of the class. I do have bolsters for comfort as well. Please try your best to arrive at least 10-15 minutes early, as we would love to begin the event on time so that you can get the most out of it! If you are running late, don't rush. It's important that you arrive safely and as relaxed as possible. I'd much rather that for you. PARKING:There is plenty of parking along the road in front of the studio. This is an area that people actually live in the other units, so it's a community that is hidden and pretty quite. Don't be afraid to wave hello if you see someone.
