Get ready for an exciting and educational kayak tour along the Pensacola Bay Front on May 25th from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Join us as we explore Pensacola Bay and learn from Rick O'Connor, an expert from Florida Sea Grant Escambia County and the University of Florida IFAS Extension, about the fascinating concept of living shorelines. We'll launch from Bartram Park in downtown Pensacola and paddle through the living shorelines along the bayfront. As we paddle, Rick will share his extensive knowledge about the importance of living shorelines in coastal conservation, including the various plant species that make up these vital ecosystems and their role in protecting against erosion.
