Description

Learn how to save a life using CPR and an AED! Sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death among teen athletes, and it can happen without signs or symptoms. Be prepared! Learn to recognize when someone needs life-saving help, how to administer CPR compressions, and how to apply the pads of an Automated External Defibrillator, or AED. It's simple! Anyone can restart a heart! This is a Hands-Only training course, designed to give participants a brief overview of how to respond in an emergency and equip them with everything they'll need to know to take action and save a life. This is NOT a certification course. Participants must be age 11 or older. This is a great opportunity for team-building, as young athletes are each other's first responders on the playing field. Coaches and parents are also highly encouraged to attend. The training is led by our CPR-certified high school Heart Heroes and will take approximately one hour. Additional time is reserved for further questions and practice. We are grateful to the United Way of Chester County for partnering with our foundation and hosting our CPR training events for the community! The United Way is located at 150 John Robert Thomas Drive, Exton.
