Have you ever celebrated an Israel Birthday? Ever done so with an Israeli Orthodox Jew?! You can do BOTH! This year, Israel’s Independence Day (Yom Ha’atzmaut) will be celebrated from April 25 to 26. Return Ministries and Convergence Point Apostolic Hub will host this special celebration in Independence, MO. We have the honor of hosting Dr. Jair Jehuda from Israel for this special event. Dr Jehuda will lead a discussion relating to Abraham. Jair is an Orthodox Israeli that believes in Christians fulfilling their Biblical destiny. Orthodox Jews and Christians are welcome to come together for this special event. Refreshments will be served. There will be no childcare at this event. **Special note: There is special meaning in our meeting here in Independence, MO. U.S. President Harry Truman was the first world leader to officially recognize Israel as a legitimate Jewish state on May 14, 1948. His decision came after much discussion with some feeling that this would be the only proper response to the holocaust and would benefit American interests. Others took the opposite view, concerned about that the creation of a Jewish state would create more conflict in an already tumultuous region. ***More about Dr Jair Jehuda: Dr Jehuda holds a PhD fellowship at the Technion Institute of Technology and eight Rafael awards for excellence as Rafael’s Chief Software Engineer (principal R&D center for Israel’s Defense Ministry). But his passion is joining with others in the serious study of G-d’s holy word. He was instrumental in joining with Dean Bye to bring Jews and Christians together 13 years ago in a weekly study of the Bible which Jair named E-Noam in honour of his brother Noam who defended Israel and laid his life down in the 1982 Lebanon incursion. He and his wife Dina, a true ministry partner, live in Mitzpe Netofa in the Galilee and have seven sons and one daughter.
