Description

Do you want butterflies, pollinators, and lots of color in your garden but want to keep water use down? In this workshop taught by Pima County Master Gardeners you will discover a variety of low-water plants that bring a riot of color across seasons. Not only will your garden have color, these plants will also bring butterflies and other pollinators to your garden. Our Shade and Color Garden experts will teach you to identify plantings for sun, shade, and partial shade; understand soil and irrigation needs; and how and when to successfully plant seeds and plants. Participants will go home with a seed ball and a flowering pollinator plant (Salvia coccinea). Please wear a hat, bring a water bottle, and consider bringing a portable chair if you would be more comfortable seated during the garden portion of the seminar. The workshop will take place rain or shine.
