DISABILITY AWARENESS AND ADVOCACY: Lessons from Life in a Chair. From a devastating diagnosis to Disability Rights Advocate, David shares powerful lessons learned through his life with Cerebral Palsy. David is a champion for the disability community and will address topics such as: Contributions to SVC and the communityEducation experience Advocacy Opportunities for people with disabilities: Progress and the opportunity for so much more in areas of employment, housing, medical care, access to education, etc.Social opportunities for people with disabilities: ball games, outside opportunities, community opportunities, bowling, dances, etc.Helping clients meet goals: basics of working with individuals with disabilities that are empowering.
