Join Bob Comeau as he takes us down a three-mile memory lane on Holyoke's historic Maple Street. Learn about the different immigrant groups who lived on the street and worked in the mills, and the parks, religious buildings, schools, businesses, theatre, housing, and the active social life that lit up the street. Learn about the late1960's to early1970's urban renewal and the effects it had on the neighborhood.
Dress appropriately and wear comfortable shoes. Be prepared to be on your feet for at least 2 hours.
Tour will begin at the north end of Maple Street where Mater Dolorosa and Pulaski Park meet. No need to print a ticket. Check in at the event.
