Stitching Exchange will be joining us for another mending clinic as we celebrate earth month!! While our stitchers are stitching, we'll have an assortement of yummy co-op snacks to try and some craft supplies to createwhile you wait! Folks are welcome to bring their own supplies to use as well! Stitching Exchange offers informal sewing opportunities using embroidery and basic sewing to build community, practice English, and creative expression. All donations will go directly to the person doing your repair! The Stitching Exchange (SE) was founded in 2019 by Melissa Sarris. It is an ongoing project partnered with two literacy groups: Refugee and Immigrant Support Services Emmaus (RISSE) and Up-Stitch. Sign up for event does not guarantee a spot on the mending list. Mending spots are first come, first served and our fabulous guests would greatly appreciate small cash donations for mending services if possible!
