Palos Park Women's Club is hosting their first annual Mother's Day Walk from 8-11 AM CT on Sunday, May 14, 2023. Rain or Shine, we invite you to join us for a walk, roll or stroll at Lake Katherine in Palos Heights, IL. There are multiple route options with water stops along the way: 2-mile paved path along the Cal Sag Trail 1-mile wood-chip path around Lake KatherineParticipation in the Palos Park Women's Club Mother's Day Walk supports PPWC initiatives of purpose promoting cultural, educational, wellness and civic interest as a charitable organization. Along with this, $5 of every entry will be donated back to Lake Katherine to support the new boat house renovation. Registration: Cost to participate is $25 for adults and $15 for children under 18 years old (2 and under are FREE). All paid participants will receive event t-shirt as part of their registration. Event Details: Main site will open at 7:00am and walk start promptly at 8:00am. Walk will end at 10:30am. Packet pickups for event t-shirts will be provided the week leading up to the walk. Locations, days and times of packet pickup will be released shortly. We suggest getting your packet & t-shirt prior to the walk to minimize running around the morning of the walk. Parking: The main lot at Lake Katherine will fill quickly, so anticipate parking on the Lake Katherine Drive or in the overflow parking at the business buildings at 11800 S 75th Palos Heights, IL 60463.Bathrooms: We will have access to outdoor portolets as well as the indoor bathrooms of Lake Katherine. Food: Breakfast is not provided, however, we are working on getting food vendors on site for the morning. Water will be provided along the route. Sponsorship: We are looking for sponsors to support our initiatives and support of Lake Katherine's boat house in the following ares: $100 vendor space (10 spaces available): First year sponsorship allowing your business to be represented at our start/finish and registration area at Lake Katherine (table, chairs and electrical connection are not provided). $150 Route Sponsors: Have your logo placed along the route to promote your business.$500 Water Stop Sponsor (2 available): A prime sponsor interaction space with walkers along the route, pass out water and other information/giveaways. You are expected to provide volunteers to support the water stop (minimum of 3) $1,500 Beekeeper Sponsor: Have your logo included on all printed/advertising materials for the Mother's Day Walk including on the back of the event t-shirt under the Queen Bee Sponsor. We will also provide you one social media post on the Palos Park Women's Club Facebook and Instagram pages specific to your business. Lastly, a vendor space is comped to provide you additional onsite exposure. $3,000 Queen Bee Presenting Sponsor (1 available): As the main sponsor of our Palos Park Women's Club Mother's Day Walk, your logo will be included on top of back of the event t-shirt , on all printed/advertising materials stated as "presented by Queen Bee Sponsor..", vendor booth and (3) Spotlight posts on Palos Park Women’s Club website and social media.If you are interested in sponsoring our event, please contact PPWC Member, Ali Barron at [email protected] for more information.
