"Standing Guard" is a project through Sierra College that collected and produced a book of oral histories in 2002. It tells the stories of Placer County Issei and how their lives were impacted and shaped by Executive Order 9066.
Still Standing Guard is a volunteer group committed to educating and raising awareness about the impact this discriminatory action had on our local communities and region. We are raising funds for the Standing Guard Project to digitize and publish new books.
