Succulents, air plants, small plants and moss can be placed in enclosed or semi-enclosed containers to make low maintenance terrariums that bring life into your house all year long.
Spend the afternoon with us at the US National Arboreteum's Spring Garden Fair and Plant Sale on April 29th. At 2 pm, we will host this special class where you can set up the perfect terrarium for your office home. These projects are the perfect homemade gift that will remind your friends and family of you for years to come.
This class is perfect for the whole family, so bring the kids. Everyone will learn what environment each plant will need to survive and how to care for the plants. Participants will be able to add their personal touch and choose the type of container and plants they want to use. Class fee includes a standard open top terrarium, with gravel, soil, decorative moss and an air plant or succulent. We will also have add-on options available to make a bog garden with carnivorous plants
Larger and other styles of terrariums are available as well as additional plants fo various sizes including succulents for an additional fee. Feel free to bring your own glassware to design a terrarium and we can help provide other materials.
Friends of the National Arboreteum (FONA) members will receive a 20% discount off class registrations. Thank you!
