Who has what it takes to be crowned the king? Kentucky Rain Band presents the second annual Elvis Challenge Saturday, May 6 at 7:30 pm at the Historic Everett Theatre. Part of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Everett Gospel Mission. Multiple local amateur Elvis impersonators will be competing to be crowned the winner of the inaugural “Elvis Challenge.” Contestants will be judged on four categories: vocal performance, costume and appearance, stage presence, and audience response. Last year’s inaugural event was a success, with Steve Unger of Puyallup, WA taking home the crown, besting 11 other competitors. Unger will return as a special guest performer at this year’s event. Co-hosting this year will be local radio personality Heidi May and Elvis Tribute Artist Robbie Dee. Be ready for additional special guests and surprises in this fun-filled evening celebrating the King of Rock and Roll! The contestants and performers will all be backed by Kentucky Rain Band, the Northwest’s #1 Elvis Tribute Artist & Rock-n-Roll Band, based in Everett, WA.
