Downtown Akron Partnership’s mission is to promote and build a vibrant and valuable downtown.
Since its inception in 1996, Downtown Akron Partnership (DAP) has been a catalyst for enhancing the downtown environment by supporting the existing community and developing new, innovative programs designed to create interest in and attract people to downtown Akron.
Downtown Akron Partnership initiated a strategic planning process in August 2015 to research and plan action steps to improve the work that we do for you in Downtown Akron. Over the course of several months stakeholder meetings, focus groups and interviews were facilitated by Carol Marturano-Becker of IMPACT Learning Inc. The information collected helped to formulate our plan for the future. That plan has continued into 2023.
