The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), District 3 (Ashland) & District 4 (Akron) will host a Matchmaker Event and is inviting Prime and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Consultants & Contractors to attend that are interested in working on the following two projects: Ashland - District 3: PID 101439, WAY-21-0.00. This is a Design/Build Project in Wayne County, SR 21 from Stark County line to Summit County line/Eastern Road. This project includes rubblize and roll with new asphalt concrete, bridge maintenance, drainage and culvert replacement, and safety improvements at Clinton Road, Edwards Road, and Grill Road. The project length is approximately 5.9 miles. (Total Contract Estimate = $37.5M) Akron - District 4: PID 111405, SUM-I77-28.75. The project will widen I-77 from four (4) lanes to six (6) between Everett Road and State Route 21 (approximately 3.45 miles) in northern Summit County. The project includes widening several bridges and culvert replacements. (Total Contract Estimate = $67M) Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. and Walk-ins will be accepted. A brief overview of the projects will be provided at 1:00 p.m. The Matchmaker appointments will start at 1:30 p.m., which will allow DBE Firms to meet with Prime Consultants & Contractors in one-on-one appointments in 15-minute intervals and introduce the services they can provide and discuss opportunities on how to work together to meet project goals.
