Please join us in welcoming Brian Santiago-Hicks owner of Blue Pumpkin Seed Co. Beyond teaching how to take pumpkins from seed to gorgeous gourds. He will be covering heirloom vs hybrid pumpkins, diseases and remedies, pest control, trellising types of pumpkins (carving / cooking/ ornamental), trimming options, spacing, and pollination issues. Brian is a Colorado Springs native, and his family has been shopping at Phelan's since he was young. Brian started gardening in 2018 and the seed business in 2021. Brian tells us "We are passionate about pumpkins, but we grow a lot of different varieties of heirloom and hybrid plants.
