Join us to follow the ASU Humanities conversation in real time as we convene a series of roundtable conversations featuring faculty discussing the latest in criticism, creative writing, and pressing research into the decisive topics shaping our times. In the final Spring 2023 iteration, we'll hear from: Sir Jonathan Bate, Foundation Professor of Environmental Humanities (College of Global Futures, School of Sustainability, and The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences) and author of Mad About Shakespeare (William Collins, 2022); Jessica Early, Professor of English (Department of English) and author of Next Generation Genres: Teaching Writing for Civic and Academic Engagement (W.W. Norton & Co., Inc, 2022); David Hawkes, Professor of English (Department of English) and author of Money and Magic in Early Modern Drama (Bloomsbury, 2022);Tara Ison, Professor of Creative Writing (Department of English) and author of At the Hour Between Dog and Wolf (ig, 2023); Madeline Sayet, Clinical Assistant Professor of Literature (Department of English) and author of Where We Belong (Bloomsbury, 2022); Safiya Sinclair, Associate Professor of Creative Writing (Department of English) and author of How to Say Babylon: A Memoir (Simon & Schuster, 2023); Laura Turchi, Clinical Professor of Medieval and Renaissance Studies (Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies) and author of Cross-Disciplinary, Cross-Institutional Collaboration in Teacher Education (Palgrave MacMillan, 2021) NB: This event will take place in a hybrid format, both at Ross-Blakley Hall 196 and on Zoom.
