Description
Join us at Haymaker Bar Wednesday, March 15 at 8:00 p.m. and enjoy stand-up comedy from some of the funniest people Portland has to offer! You won't want to miss this free show. Great food and drinks courtesy of Haymaker Bar. Come in a great mood and ready to laugh. See you there! Here's a few of the comedians that you will see there: Nic Dundas: Seattle-based comedian who has performed across the country. He has been featured in San Francisco's Mutiny Radio Comedy Festival and is founder of the sketch/stand-up comedy troupe, Parlor Tricks Comedy. Kyle Adams: an up and coming traveling comedian who operates out of Portland, Oregon. Kyle features at Club Comedy in Seattle Washington, hosted at Harvey's comedy club in Portland and is a two time semi finalist in Helium Comedy club's Portland's Funniest Person Competition. His act consists of silly stories of triumph and tragedy and he regularly road tests it all over the Pacific Northwest. Jaren George: born and raised in New York City, Jaren is a comedian based in Portland, OR. He just wants you (the audience) to be engaged and feed off his intensely high charismatic ways. Jaren's style for jokes can only be described as "energetic storytelling" with a second main entree of "Ah, I see what he did there" because he spoils you. Opened for national touring headlining comedians this year like Sterling Scott, Chris Gethard, and Gary Gulman. He was also voted in 2022 as one of Willamette Week’s Funniest Five Comedians in Portland and Portland Mercury's 2023 Geniuses of Comedy. He co-hosts Kickstand's Comedy in the Park and runs a podcast called IT Desk. You can see him walking around in the hit HULU show Shrill. Your cat adores him. Not to mention, our headliner of the night Geoff Tate. As a fan of comedy, you’ve likely heard Geoff Tate at some point… Maybe you listen to podcasts. In that case, you probably heard Geoff on "WTF with Marc Maron" or "Your Mom’s House" with Tom Segura and Christina P or maybe it was "The Todd Glass Show" or"You Made It Weird" or "BertCast" or "The Doug Stanhope Podcast" or "Never Not Funny" or, and this is most likely, any of his hundreds of appearances on "Doug Loves Movies." Geoff is no stranger to comedy festivals either. Was it Bonnaroo? SF Sketchfest? SXSW? Maybe, Limestone? Comedyfest? or any of the other dozens of festivals he’s performed. Come watch Geoff tell his jokes (Birbiglia called him a “comedy savant” and Stanhope once said he was “the next Bill Burr”) interwoven with relatable stories as he seeks insight into his own life and maybe even yours.
