Come join us at Saint Peter's Episcopal Church as we help plant their community garden! We will train on topics such as transplanting, plant spacing, direct seeding, zone hardiness, seasonality, and more. About the Hosts: SPECO is Saint Peter's Episcopal Community Outreach. The mission of their outreach program is to address the root causes of poverty by recognizing everyone’s inherent worth and dignity. Their work is possible through the support of community volunteers, groups, and organizations. Refresh Appalachia is the sustainable agricultural program of Coalfield Development. Refresh focuses on "Growing the Grower" through their agricultural workforce development program, as well as community trainings to bolster local food knowledge, understanding, and access to resources.
