For Baker registrants: On behalf of the Mu Rho Zeta ZHOPE Committee, we would like to thank you for your participation in our first Annual Bake-off for Babies to raise funds for March of Dimes. The Bake-off is taking place on Saturday May 20, 2023, from 1pm to 3pm at the Reach Opportunity Center located at 390 Crosier St. Akron, Ohio. The Mu Rho Zeta Chapter has a longstanding relationship with the March of Dimes. Through our volunteer and fund-raising efforts, we continue to support the mission of the March of Dimes each year with increasing success. The March of Dimes champions the needs of moms and babies in our community and across the nation. The money we raise for March for Babies will support lifesaving research, services, education, and advocacy that helps babies get a healthy start. The March of Dimes mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. By deciding to be a baker in this event you are helping us to fulfill their mission! The following rules by all registered bakers: Entries must be desserts. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE MADE FROM SCRATCH Entries should accommodate a minimum of 100 1 oz servings with eating utensils. Ingredients of items must be displayed on your table. (NOT THE RECIPE) Bakers may set up as early as 11:30am and must be ready for the event no later than 1pm. Bakers are responsible for cleaning up their area before departure. Bakers will pay a $20 fee to reserve their table and guarantee their attendance and participation in the bake off. **Please be advised that due to the federal regulations of the Reach Opportunity Center, no individual sales can take place. However, you may market your business by distributing business cards etc., and we will place all baker’s relevant contact and social media information in our program.** Voting will occur onsite, so the more people you invite, the better your chances are to win! . All registrations will be completed through Eventbrite.
