Did you know a family of four must make at least $107,462 a year to make ends meet in Boulder County?
Join the Colorado Center on Law and Policy in partnership with leading local nonprofit organizations serving our Boulder County neighbors for an event on what it takes to be financially self-sufficient in Boulder County. We will hear from Colorado Center on Law and Policy’s Charlie Brennan, Deputy Director of Research, on their recently released "Self- Sufficiency Standard for Colorado, 2022. Prepared every few years for Colorado Center on Law and Policy by the Center for Women’s Welfare at the University of Washington, the Self-Sufficiency Standard calculates how much income a family must earn to meet basic needs without public or private assistance based on family composition in each of Colorado’s 64 counties.
Local nonprofit leaders supporting low and middle-income households in Boulder County and community leaders with lived experience of facing the tension between cost of living and liveable wage will discuss what it takes to "make it" in our county.
There will be a short Q & A.
