The Press Run features certified Texas City 5K and 10K courses, a Kid's 1K, a book character costume contest, dozens of vendor booths, music, food and much more. We have a big event planned! Our Kid’s Zone will offer your kiddos a safe environment, filled with bouncy houses, arts and crafts, face painting and more. Stations will be managed for small groups of kids. The Daily News Press Runs provides support to the Newspapers in Education (NIE) program. NIE provides educational resources that use the newspaper to develop reading comprehension skills, critical thinking and a better understanding of the way the world relates to the classroom.
