Workshop Presenter: Allyson Rush Allyson is a jack of all trades and a master of many. She attended FAMU and graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Human Resources. She retired from the rigors and demands of Corporate America in May 2018. She has always had house plants because she believes it beautifies the house- enter COVID-19. She was talking with one of her Sorors, Stacye, who she sheltered in place with, and they said, "Let's grow some vegetables." So off to gardening they went! It was gratifying to eat something they grew, and their children helped plant vegetables too! Allyson says everything tastes a bit different, "clean," if you grow it yourself. She lives in Homewood, IL, and has two college-aged children attending a prominent HBCU. They have a German Boxer, Domino. They love to travel and enjoy family time!
