LOS ANGELES REGION SMALL BUSINESS SUMMITA County-City partnership celebrating National Small Business Week. This free event convenes all major free business resources from the Los Angeles region in one place. Existing businesses and aspiring business owners will have an opportunity to meet and speak to providers of technical assistance, capital, and mentorship. The event will also feature the following onsite services:Legal Aid and Consultation: Whether you need help drafting a contract or negotiating, legal help is available to support you through a County/City partnership. Speak to an expert at the event to determine your needs and how we may be able to assist you.Business Certification Clinic : Certification can be very confusing as different levels of government have different certifications that are not always recognized by all entities. This is your one stop shop to apply for all certifications your business may qualify for.Business Assessment: Business consultants and counselors will be on site to provide you a business assessment to help you determine which services your business needs.Business Permitting Assistance: This is a rare opportunity to connect with County and City department to get the help you need to navigate the permitting process. Businesses will also have an opportunity to check for compliance and register their business.Credit and Debt Consultation: Access to capital starts with a healthy credit score. Get answers directly from experts from each department !Opportunity to pitch for community level contracts at the event:Friday Night Lights: The Mayor's Office of Community Safety works in collaboration with community-based organizations, law enforcement and other city departments to provide a safe, positive environment for youth in some of our most underserved communities. In addition, the program highlights resources related to domestic violence prevention, post-secondary education, access to employment, and educational opportunities for teens and young adults. This programs holds multiple events throughout the summer. This is an opportunity to pitch and win contracts of up to $25,000!!! We are looking for vendors that provide event-related services, including food, rentals, music, etc. Some contracts may be announced same day!More to come!
