Description

Join Black Owners of Solar Services (B.O.S.S.) and the Department of Energy (DOE), with Honorable Chief Director, Equity and Inclusion Officer Shalanda Baker, and Chief, Minority Business and Workforce Division Shalaya Morissette, as we kick off the much-anticipated Equitable Clean Energy Advancement Initiative (ECEAI) Pilot in North Carolina! This is the first step of a three-phase project that can encourage the growth, health, and success of Black- and minority-owned energy-related businesses throughout North Carolina. This project will focus on coordinating and training minority-owned businesses on how to apply for DOE funding and access DOE programs, benefits, services, and opportunities. A pilot cleantech Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) process will be created and B.O.S.S. will assist minority-owned businesses with becoming Certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), completing cleantech DBE certification, and obtaining renewable energy certificates. SPACE IS LIMITED! If you are a minority-owned business in North Carolina's energy industry, or you're interested in learning about transitioning into the energy industry, register today to secure your spot for this informational networking event! This will all be made possible through the DOE's $6.3M cooperative agreement with B.O.S.S. and the dedicated focus of those ready to make a lasting change in the energy industry.
