Howdy gents!
It was a little over 3 years ago that Mark Johson, Tom Toy, and myself, wound down the last gathering for the Auburn Roundtable on Tommy's back deck--before the world went sideways with the Pandemic.
Well, it's time to get things rolling again! If you're on this invitation for the first time, let me take a minute to tell you what we do and what this is all about:
What and Why: We were (pre-pandemic) a social gathering/book club, but I've decided that this served as too much of a deterrent for those that just couldn't find the time to read the book. Our objective is quite simple: Good times, fun, laughter, friendship--and some occasional mischief. What's our mission statement? We don't have one. Come to think of it, I'm offended at the thought of such a mandate!
Frequency: Once per month.
Location: I will serve as the de-facto host at my casa here off Mt.Vernon in Auburn. As was our previous format, each time we get together, it's anyone's prerogative to announce that they wish to host, which can be at their home, or any place of their choosing.
Aaron Burns once hosted at the downstairs clubhouse in Meadow Vista at the country club, which was super cool. I have always wanted to have one of our meetups during the summer down at Folsom or Clementine with some Paddleboarding mixed in!
Joining the group: If you're on this email, I either couldn't find you on Facebook, or we're not connected.
