Description

No Sad Story Ministries is a local, 501c3, nonprofit organization based in Rock Hill, SC. Our mission is to serve and support persons infected with and/or affected by HIV/AIDS in Rock Hill and the surrounding areas. Through outreach, prevention and community information programs, we commit to educate the public about HIV prevention while offering free and/or low-cost services to HIV/AIDS individuals and their families. Our Annual Gala is our biggest fundraiser in support of our mission. Our work would not be possible without the generous and dedicated contribution of financial, material, and volunteer support from local organizations and individuals. In response to a national strategy aimed at ending the HIV epidemic by 2030, state and federal health officials are pushing to increase awareness, reduce the stigma about the virus, and ensure more people are tested. Community engagement is key to maximizing South Carolina’s effort to reduce HIV/AIDS. HIV remains a disproportionate risk to African Americans. Young African American gay and bisexual men account for more new HIV infections than any other group, and HIV affects African American heterosexual women more than women of any other race or ethnicity. More than 290,000 African Americans with stage 3 HIV (AIDS) have died since the start of the epidemic. In 2018, while African Americans accounted for only 13% of the US population, they represented 42% of new HIV and too few are receiving the HIV care and treatment that will help those live diagnoses that year. Not all African Americans with HIV are aware of their status, Longer, healthier lives and get and keep an undetectable viral load—meaning there is effectively no risk of transmitting HIV. Our mission continues to garner support from the residents of Rock Hill and surrounding communities. Gala attendance has increased an average of 20% each year, with an anticipated attendance of 150 in 2023. Our guests represent a diverse and affluent cross-section of consumers in this community. A great opportunity for brand visibility among diverse and inclusive target markets. We partner with Pathways Community Services, Pilgrim’s Inn, Family Promise, CACH, Northside Central Medical Center, Catawba Mental Health Services and The Well Church which is located in the Rock Hill, SC area. No Sad Story Ministry, Inc. SC is launching its “2023” Self-Care Fundraiser in Partnership with Ardysslife International. Ardysslife International is a health and wellness company that was founded 33 years ago by Mr. Antonio Diaz De Leon, Sr. on the principles of faith, family, lifestyle, and legacy.
