Congratulations Tiger! It is time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of your graduation from Clemson. The Golden Tiger Reunion is an annual event intended to serve as the class reunion for all classes who have previously been inducted as Golden Tigers in years past and as a celebration for the 50th anniversary class. Golden Tigers are invited back to campus to reunite with their old classmates and friends to reminisce about their days as students and to learn about what is happening at Clemson today. As a member of the 50th class, you will be honored by being inducted into the Golden Tiger Society which is a formal event similar to graduation. Each Golden Tiger will be presented with a Golden Tiger lapel pin and an official Golden Tiger Society Induction Certificate to commemorate the day. The Golden Tiger class will also present their Class Gift to the university along with participating in the other reunion activities planned for all to enjoy including university presentations, campus updates, campus tours and activities. Schedule of Events Wednesday, June 7, 2023 1:00 pm – The 2022 Golden Tiger Reunion Golf Scramble Members of the classes of 1973 and guests are invited to kick off their 50th reunion with the 2023 Golden Tiger Reunion Golf Scramble! Tee times are available between 1:00 - 1:30 pm on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the Walker Golf Course at the Madren Conference Center on Clemson's campus. Registrants will enjoy an afternoon of golf along the edge of Clemson's campus and Lake Hartwell and conclude the afternoon with a social and pre-reunion check-in at Kite Hill Brewing Co. To schedule a Tee Time, call Walker Golf Course at 864-656-0236 and mention the Class of 1973 Golden Tiger Reunion to reserve your spot. 5:30 – 7:30 pm - Class Meet & Greet Kite Hill Brewing Co Mingle with your fellow reunion classmates and check-in for the upcoming festivities and receive your registration packet at the Class Meet and Greet on Wednesday evening at Kite Hill Brewing Co at Patrick Square. Food and drink are not provided at this event, however guests may purchase pub-style food at Kite Hill or any food trucks that are on site. Thursday, June 8, 2023 8:00 – Reunion Registration and Check-in Opens - Madren Center 8:45 – 10:30 am - Golden Tiger Induction Ceremony for Class of 1973 Members of the Class of 1973 will enjoy a graduation-style ceremony inducting them into the Golden Tiger Society. Class of 1973 Gift Celebration Class photo will be taken at this time. Ceremony will take place in the Madren Center Grand Ballroom. Attire: Sunday dress; men please wear blue blazer & tie, ladies Sunday dress/ business professional. 10:30 - 11:45 am – Transportation from Madren to Strom Thurmond Institute for Orange Glove event. Take a walk down memory lane through various Clemson archives and artifacts from the year 1973. Transportation back to Madren Conference Center following event. Noon – 2:00 pm – Lunch Break “Lunch on your Own” *Price & transportation not included in registration* Time on your own to rest/refresh, enjoy Clemson, downtown and campus. 2:00 – 4:00 pm – Tours & Activities for all reunion guests. Tours and activities to be announced closer to the date. Tours and Activities are first come, first served and participants must register for these activities at check-in. 4:00 pm – Refresh Break back at the Madren Center 5:00 – 6:00pm – Social Hour – Open Beer and Wine Bar. Madren Center Grand Hallway (all reunion guests) 6:00 pm – until – Welcome Reception – All Reunion Guests Enjoy an evening gathering with your classmates celebrating the student organizations and activities that you participated in while you were a student. Heavy hors d’oeuvres. Entertainment includes DJ and dancing to the hits of the 60’s and 70’s. Open Beer and Wine Bar. $55 per person. Attire: Casual Dress. Madren Center Ball Room Friday, June 9, 2023 7:30 am – Refreshments Enjoy refreshments and lite pastries prior to the day’s activities in the Grand Hallway of the Madren Conference Center. Refreshments are complimentary. 9:00 – 11:30am – Tours & Activities for all reunion guests. Tours and activities to be announced closer to the date. Tours and Activities are first come, first served and participants must register for these activities at check-in. Noon – Clemson Family Luncheon - All Reunion Attendees – Remarks from faculty & staff. Casual Dress. Buffet lunch. $35 per person. Attire: Casual dress 2:00 – 5:00pm – Tours & Activities for all reunion guests. Tours and activities to be announced closer to the date. Tours and Activities are first come, first served and participants must register for these activities at check-in. 5:00 – 6:00pm – Social Hour – Open Beer and Wine Bar. Madren Center Grand Hallway (all reunion guests) 6:00pm – Until – Golden Tiger Class Party at the Pavilion at the Madren Conference Center celebrating the Class of 1973. Open Beer and Wine Bar. $75 per person. Attire: This is an outdoor event. Please dress accordingly. Casual Dress.
