This event will include: -- audience participation (in which audience members can write down and share times in their lives when they wanted to resist/fight the system); --a photo booth (with the word resistance spray painted on it) -- a costume contest (for attendees dressing like their version of a member of the resistance in New America), and --giveaways, including artifacts from the book. book description: THE CHAPERONE is a near-future young adult novel that tells the story of 17-year-old Stella Graham, who has spent almost her whole life in New America, where she is not allowed to go out in public without a government-assigned chaperone.
