About half of adults in the United States have hypertension (high blood pressure). Our nutrition-related habits, such as eating out, opting for convenience snacks, and over-using the saltshaker can worsen our blood pressure, putting us at higher risk for heart disease and stroke. Join Lydia Conner, RDN, LD, Parkview Center for Healthy Living, community outreach dietitian to learn more about hypertension and discuss how small changes in our nutrition habits can improve our blood pressure and reduce our overall health risk. Lydia will share a nutritious recipe at the end of the class.
