Hey, everyone! In honor of Stress Awareness month, I wanted to hold a yoga in the park session in Salida.
Stress affects millions of Americans, and even more worldwide. Today, medical research estimates as much as 90 percent of illness and disease is stress-related. People who are stressed are three times more likely to suffer from the common cold. They are also more likely to suffer from other diseases such as asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease. This happens because when the stress does not have a chance to subside, your body will get stuck in fight-or-flight mode and continue to release hormones that can suppress your immune system, making you more susceptible to disease.
Not only that, stress affects the way you interact with people. It affects your work, personal relationships, and the ability to enjoy present moments. Oftentimes, stress affects your ability to maintain consistent daily routines and habits because you just don’t have the energy.
So come out and give yourself a chance to de-stress on a Sunday morning. This is a FREE event; however, donations are always welcomed. I look forward to seeing you there!
