Avenue Scholars seeks to address two important community challenges – a persistent and growing level of student poverty and a shortage of skilled workers in several industry areas. Through the process of career coaching, Avenue Scholars provides comprehensive, long-term, individualized support for students from low-income backgrounds. By helping students become career ready and matching their individual skills and interests to available positions, Avenue Scholars simultaneously addresses students’ need for gainful employment and employers’ need for skilled workers to sustain and grow their businesses. On Thursday, May 4th, Avenue Scholars is hosting a private event at the American Muscle Car Museum of Peter Fink. All proceeds raised from this event will benefit the Avenue Scholars Savings Program. The Savings Program was created in 2017 to help Avenue Scholars students grow their financial literacy skills while establishing secure transportation and housing. Dress Attire: Business Casual
