An introspective look at the role of Black doulas in Black communities as a means of combatting high death rates among our mothers and babies. Instead of film festivals, we're going to focus on creating maternal health events around the country to directly serve the communities we center in the documentary. Producer and direct Emmett Williams will be on hand to discuss why he made the film and its importance in shifting values in healthcare.
