We'll hike (think leisurely walk/roll) about two miles, along a paved sidewalk, with an option to drop out after one mile. This is a handicapped accessible paved sidewalk and we will maintain an easy, slow pace to enjoy nature and conversations. We will enjoy the neighborhood around the Brooks YMCA.
Hiking can be a wonderful and rewarding experience for people with disabilities, providing a great opportunity to connect with nature, improve physical fitness, and boost mental well-being. This is a great opportunity to improve physical fitness, reduce stress and anxiety and provide a peaceful escape allowing people to connect with friends and family, while building a sense of community.
Please bring water. There are restrooms available at the Brooks YMCA.
Children are welcome with an adult, but no pets, unless they are service animals. Service Animals are ALWAYS welcome!
Cancellation Policy: The hike will be canceled if rain is expected and rescheduled.
