WASHINGTON OAKS GARDENS STATE PARK Saturday, April 22 nd at 9:00am The formal gardens are the centerpiece of the park, with remarkable displays of native and non-native plant species including azaleas, camellias and bird of paradise. The gardens offer guests a peaceful stroll along winding reflection ponds sheltered by an oak hammock. We will hike about 3 miles along the Intercoastal, through the beautiful garden area, then through canopied coastal scrub back to our starting point. There is a $5 parking fee per vehicle.
