This Victorian Gothic styled old Jail is a one of a kind site to be seen as it stands with its imposing structure in the middle of Historic Union Springs. Al. With it’s three stories and it’s metal “ Witch Hats “ on the It’s top corners it is sure to scare. It is one of the oldest historic jails still standing in Alabama. It is known to have been haunted for years and is World Renowned. The historic old Jail built in 1897 will not disappoint the novice investigator to the advanced. The building has three floors and contains a trap door on the third floor where many a condemned prisoner may have met their doomed fate. So many instances of Paranormal Phenomenon have taken place at the jail and recorded by others . Books have been written about it, a major movie has been filmed at the jail in 2004 and it has a long haunted history that will amaze you and draw you in to its celled walls and gallows like no other historic jail in Alabama or the Southeast will. Paranormal Activity and Phenomenon that has been experienced by many in the jail includes disembodied voices, walking noises of footsteps , disembodied screams, apparitions of the deceased, shadow people , banging sounds and much more. Many people have died in the jail and they still roam the cells. You will also Investigate for paranormal at the Old City Cemetery at night . You will investigate among the deceased who were once living in the historic town of Union Springs and many who fought in the Civil War. See what paranormal phenomena you might find using state of the art equipment provided on the tour. See what tales from the graves are being told. The Paranormal Investigation will start at the jail at 7:00 pm Saturday May 6, 2023 with a Historical Introduction. After the introduction you will be broken into small groups and led by the professional team using state of the art paranormal investigation equipment like you have seen on TV and Old School Victorian 1800’s methods of investigating will be done. Psychic Medium Lesley Ann Hyde and The Southern Ghost Girls Tours are famous for their personalized tours, ghost hunting events , Paranormal investigations and more using both state of the art equipment and Old School Investigation methods that were used in the 1800’s. Lesley Ann will lead the group in paranormal exercises that include The Human Pendulum and The Tipping Table. Two very interesting experiments that should only be performed by a trained psychic investigator. You can experience this yourself with the team and you will be completely amazed beyond belief as we communicate with the dead. The group event will run 7:00 pm May 6, 2023 until Midnight then you are free to explore the jail yourself to see what you find until 1:00 am. The event includes use of thousands of dollars of paranormal investigation equipment that you will be investigating with. Tickets are sold to help with preservation of the Old Historic Pauly Jail in Union Springs and the Historic Society. There is not an age limit, but we do ask that any children be with an adult at all times and be mature enough to be in dark spaces with the subject of the paranormal and spirits being talked about and recorded . The Event will go on Rain or Shine. Wear comfortable and weather appropriate clothing and shoes. Some of the event will be in the cemetery. It’s recommended that you use Insect Repellent for the cemetery if needed. There are stairs in the jail so you must be able to climb them.
