Brandi Carlile Tickets Brandi Carlile is a musician with a great heart for music and philanthropic work. She grew up in Ravensdale, Washington. Her childhood was filled with forts she built in the woods around her house, singing songs with her mother, and listening to musician influences, like Elton John . She taught herself how to play both guitar and piano, and she took a gamble on her music career when she dropped out of high school to follow her musical dreams. In the mid-2000s, her career began in earnest when she started singing with twin brothers Tim and Phil Hanseroth, who are still part of her band today. Her album Brandi Carlile dropped in 2005, garnering her excellent reviews though it didn't get as much attention from fans yet. Eventually, Carlile reached musical success when she went on to record the single The Story, which reached gold status in 2017. Brandi Carlile's music crosses several genres, including folk, pop, alternative country, and rock. To date, Brandi Carlile has released six studio albums and has headlined many concert tours. Brandi Carlile Is a Philanthropist Brandi Carlile is known as much for her humanitarian work as she is for being a musician. In 2008, she put her money where her proverbial mouth is and founded the Looking Out Foundation with good friends Phil and Tim Hanseroth. The purpose of the foundation is to support causes that Carlile cares about. Recipients of her foundation's generosity include UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders, Honor the Earth, The Women's Funding Alliance and others. For every ticket sold at a Brandi Carlile concert, one dollar is donated to the Looking Out Foundation. The foundation also partners with organizations. In 2010, the Looking Out Foundation joined two Seattle self-defense studios, along with the Seattle Police Department and the Indigo Girls, to back the Fight Fear Campaign.
